Barclays have announced their own client visible aggregator which combines multiple venues, futures & crosses to produce spot liquidity. In their words “we handle the routing to multiple venues, converting futures to spot and netting derived liquidity from crosses back into the desired currency pair.” More detail here.
My comment: aggregation via Gator & algo via PowerFill are an interesting mix. And this provides a view of how Single Dealer Platforms can aggregate other asset classes such as SEFs (as we have mentioned previously).
