I will attending the AFME European Market Liquidity Conference Wednesday, and will try to post a comment from the conference.
Running as two streams, FX and FI, they have lined up some good topics up for discussion such as:
Fixed income:
Regulation and Impact on Liquidity
Credit Risk and Liquidity
Trends in e-trading; the buy side (r)evolution
Evolving Market Structures
FX:
Execution in the New World: where will buyside execute?
New Plumbing of the Industry Market Infrastructure
Together with a good group of panellists, which should produce some lively debate.
In previous years, AFME have released the results of their highly popular fixed income etrading survey at the conference. However, they are not running the survey this year, which is a shame – but assure me, it will be back next year, once they get Dodd-Frank and MiFID II ‘out the way’!
Hope to see you there.

The single dealer debate will certainly feature in the discussion on market structure. One of two areas the panel is hoping to explore in some depth. The other being the market-maker model. See you tomorrow for will be a very interesting and thoughtful day. David.
